Meridian trolling reels are a good and versatile option for Mediterranean trolling. Graphite body is salt water resistant and side plates are reinforced by a stainless steel ring, to strengthen the whole chassis. Handle and spool are anodized aluminum, so the reel can be spooled with braided line. The smooth drag has a Max Drag of 20 Lbs. and can be set up very carefully. The bearings are 3+1, all in double shielded stainless steel, to cope with the very aggressive marine environment. The fighting handle has a power knob.
